Our Latest Arrivals on the Farm:
Welcome to three little chicks hatched this week by Rhoda, our very young Rhode Island Red Hen, who is carefully guarding them from my intruding camera.  Remember how the neighbour's dogs eliminated ALL of our chooks and he donated 4 little 6 weeks old chickens to get us going again? 
Well, here's the beginnings!  One Black, One Brown and One Caramel.
I hope they survive the Rooster, the Dogs and the Foxes!!!

    I love the photo of your chook & her chicks. I miss mine, & am looking forward to gathering a new flock when we get back to Aus. I'm enjoying reading your blog, I hope you can continue to find the time to keep it going!

    Hi Judy,

    I love the look of Charlie bet he is full of mischief, The hen
    and chicks remind me of my much younger days when my dad "grew" chicks. One day I accidently stepped on one and it died I ran and hid in a cupboard I was so distressed.
