You will love how the flowers literally burst into 3D when heat and steam is applied.
How? Simply place Krinkle Magic or Texture Magic underneath your fabric, embroider, trim around each flower with scissors or a Stencil Burner, then hover a hot steam iron above (not touching) the design. The petals curl and shrink into amazing realism. The "magic" is brilliant. Another effect may be achieved by also adding a layer of Quilt Magic Wadding or similar, between the Krinkle Magic and the fabric. Isn't this exiting girls and boys?
I will be showing samples at the Brisbane CraftExpo this week. Are you coming? I'll be presenting a Daily Seminar on Flowers, Trims & Embellishments with various new techniques and exciting new products.
Love these, hope you will too.
Liz made the above flowers for me using Jenny's designs, Texture Magic, wadding and burnt the flower's outline using our Stencil Burner. With more time, we'll come up with a lot more projects using this technique and Jenny's designs from her brand new 3D Embroidery Magic CD.
Have some fun and try this new technique!
More news of the CraftExpo in the next few days with special events during the Show. Do visit the Show at the Brisbane Convention Centre from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th March from 10.00am till 4.30pm each day. We are on Stand A09.
