International Quilt Market Houston 2013 Day ONE

Enjoying beautiful weather at Houston, Texas, USA for arguably the largest Quilt Trade Show in the world. I attended Day One of Quilt Market today - 27 aisles of wholesale traders and another enormous hall of quilts from around the world.  Managed 12 aisles but have another 2 days to complete.  Gosh, it's hard work, hey?  Shall share as much as I can with you.

Aerial views giving you an idea of the size - was early morning before many were walking on the floor. These two photos would show approx. half of the floor space of booths.

My friend, Joan Hawley, (Lazy Girl Bag Designs) has an added career with Clover Needlecraft, shown
here proudly demonstrating a range of products with her name upon them.  We will have them all available shortly.

My mentor, Nancy Zieman, (Nancy's Notions) was at another part of the stand demonstrating new products in her range for Clover as well.  I was so busy chatting with her I forgot to snap a photo - sorry.

Hey, don't you just love this cute table being used on the stand of Block Party Studios? Someone has a sense of humour in designing the four table legs.

We sell their range of fabric panels, patterns and gifts.
More new ones yet to be added.

Fancy walking out in these shoes or boots?  Quilt Artist, Rose Hughes does!  In a month's time, when she has time to gather breath, she has promised to add the technique to her blogspot. Decoupage fabric onto anything, then finish with sealant.

There are plenty of ideas in the background projects too.

Finished the day at a genuine Texas Steakhouse - noisy, but the food was good!
Decorated in true Texan Style.

Wonder what images tomorrow will bring?
