AQC 2010 Update

AQC 2010  - Expertise Events has announced Easter Special Booking Rates & One Day Classes.

Judy Newman, Craft Consultant of Expertise Events said "This year the Easter bunny brings something better than chocolate…
a special rate for Gold Passes at AQC plus the release of one day classes."

Bringing the world of quilting to your door - April 29 - May 2, 2010
Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne.

If you've ever dreamed of attending the AQC, Australasia's Premiere Quilting Event, then now is the time. Book your Gold Pass at Easter Bunny rates: $875, on sale for two weeks only, until April 14.
The best way to enjoy the AQC experience is with the four day Gold Pass - a package that allows you to attend classes and enjoy all the special extras, in the most economical way.

Only Gold Pass delegates are able to:
  • See the Quilts before the crowds arrive
  • Shop in the exclusive delegate preview period before the show opens
  • Attend four days of classes, lunches each day, Cocktail Party, Evening Lecture and Gala Dinner all included in the Gold Pass
  • Plus - on Friday 30 April: Presentation with guests from India and Marion Gorr from Beautiful Silks, Open to delegates only
If you just can't make it for the four days: Do the One-Day Dash.

Book a one day class. One-Day Dash is $199 - class and lunch only, (previews, lectures, Gala Dinner, Cocktail Party and the sample bag are not included). There are only limited places available in classes, so be quick!

Now, I know that there are a few only vacancies left in Sandra Chandler's One Day Class using her Curve Master and our very own Pleat Maker for the "Winner's Circle - Black Tie Only" on Friday 30th April.

I have many emails from customers who have purchased the Curve Master Presser Foot and been absolutely delighted with their quilts made so much faster and easier using this miracle of a foot.  You too could learn in Sandy's workshop above, but one excited customer sent me an email last week with a picture of her newly completed quilt using the Curve Master and has kindly given permission to share this with you.

Hello Judy, I purchased the Curve Master presser foot from you at the show in Brisbane last November. I simply had to try it out and this picture attached is the result. It has been the quickest and most enjoyable quilt that I have ever made and I'm now eager to try the "Double Wedding Ring". Kind regards, Helen Wegner
Congratulations Helen, job well done and yes, indeed, you should be so proud of yourself, I am!  How nicely photgraphed too!

HAPPY EASTER GREETINGS TO YOU ALL

  2. Dear Judy,
Reading about the Greyhounds, your Dad probably knew my dad,Matt Byron who was Secretary of Wollongong Greyhound Racing Club from 1969 to about 1980 then Alan Cripps replaced him. I worked for a while for Alan(until the Wollongong closed) printing the books. I probably typed your Dad's name and dogs form over the years. Congratulations to your Dad--what was his name and some of the dog's names?Margaret Barklay
