Merry Christmas Wishes

Merry Christmas to one and all, wishing you a very safe and happy time ahead with your family and friends.  A big thank you for reading my Blogs during this year.

Just a little catch up from November...........

The Riverina Tourist Industry, via Lockhart Shire Council, visited our Emu Farm for a photo shoot for their forthcoming Tourist Brochures for the whole of NSW, us being part of the Riverina.

A neighbour and her friend were asked to be the young attractive "models" for the shoot among the young emus born in Spring this year. I think they enjoyed themselves immensely as emus are very inquisitive and they were quite entertained.

Let me know if you ever see the Tourist Brochure in your travels.

At the end of the Adelaide Craft & Quilt Fair, we left our van overnight at a friend's house and to our delight, the whole street had their houses decorated ready for Christmas.  What a delight!

Don't you just love all the Christmas Lights?

Each Christmas for the last 14 years our friend's family (sister, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends) have made a float in the Victor Harbor Pageant. Victor Harbor is 85 klms south of Adelaide.
This year the theme was a ”Gold Rush Christmas”.
The main float (a car trailer pulled by the car in background with No 28 on window) was a wagon, loaded with people off to the Ballarat gold fields.
Our friend, whom you may know from years ago was an Exhibitor on the show scene - Timberturn. Rob is a VERY clever man who now helps us out on our stand each time we are in Adelaide AND he makes many items that you see on my website.

This year, Rob made a Cobb & Co Coach which is absolutely amazing.

He said "My little Cobb & Co Coach had 2 of our granddaughters (8 & 3 yrs) driving, with 2 little girls inside. I pulled the coach, walking between the 2 horses. We won the "Most Innovated" section. It is great fun and the kids love it.

One of my local customers is also very handy with the tools - Kim Nash does millinery and has some interesting achievements using emu feathers John gave her, see below.  But look what she has done for Christmas!

Her emu hat creation.............it covers the whole head - feathers are glued onto a base and it really is quite comfortable when on.

Exhibitors kicked up their heels at the Christmas Party on the Saturday night of our last show of the year, held in Adelaide mid November.  The theme was to come as "what Christmas meant to you". Liz was presents under the tree and I was a money tree.

The Winners and my Kris Kringle present.

Do you recognize anyone?

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
